Plans, the free trial, and what happens when it ends

The 14-day trial, what is limited during it, how the plan limits work, and read-only — what stops and what keeps working.

The free trial

Every new account starts with 14 days of the Growth plan — all seven services, no card needed. One trial per account: a second workspace you create shares the first one's plan.

During the trial:

  • e-mails are limited to 200 a day, so a new account cannot be used to send spam. Campaigns, flows, the API and the marketing recipes count; the recipes' order and account e-mails (the order and shipping confirmations, the thank-you after a purchase, the sign-up welcome) do not;
  • Pages keeps your sites private — a public site or a public link needs an active plan.

Plan & usage shows Your free trial ends in … days and the date. Monfri also e-mails the primary owner before the end: Your Monfri trial ends in … days.

Choosing a plan

Starter, Growth and Scale differ in how much each service can do — contacts, e-mails, events, bots, agents and more. Every plan has all seven services. Compare them in Choose a plan or on Pricing, and pick one in Plan & usage → Activate a plan.

Online payments are being activated. Until then the buttons on the Plans page are greyed out: to choose or change your plan, write to [email protected].

When you reach a limit

The primary owner gets an e-mail at 80 % and at 100 % of a limit, and the service it belongs to shows a notice. Nothing stops at the limit itself:

  • campaigns — e-mail and push — pause at 120 % of the monthly allowance, until the next month or a larger plan;
  • the chatbot keeps answering above 120 %, without AI;
  • agents pause above 120 % of their monthly runs or AI budget;
  • everything else keeps working while you decide.

Messages your customers need — receipts, confirmations, password resets — are never stopped by a limit. All the numbers: Usage and limits.

Read-only: when the trial ends or a payment is overdue

If the trial ends without a plan, a payment stays unpaid after the grace period, or a cancelled plan reaches its end date, the workspace becomes read-only. A banner at the top says why — for example Your free trial has ended or Your workspace is read-only.

What stops: all sending — campaigns, recipes, push, and transactional e-mails too — automations, agents, the AI features, and data leaving Monfri to other platforms (for example ad audiences). The chatbot keeps answering from its menu and your questions and answers, without AI.

What keeps working: you and your team can sign in, look at everything, edit and export. Your website keeps sending data to CDP, so nothing is lost while you decide.

Choose a plan or settle the payment and everything starts again — the same day, with nothing to set up anew.

If something doesn't work

The trial ended earlier than I expected

The trial belongs to the account, not to the workspace: a workspace created later shares the first one's end date. Plan & usage shows the date.

My sites in Pages are not public

During the trial they stay private. They go public once a plan is active.

A notice says I am over a limit

See which number in Plan & usage → Usage, then remove what you no longer need or move to a larger plan: Usage and limits.
