Connections: link the apps your flows use

The connections Monfri makes for you, connecting another app with its key, what Active, Invalid and Expired mean, editing a key, the example connections, and deleting one.

A connection holds what a flow needs to act in an app — usually a key or a token. You make it once, in Connections, and every flow in the workspace can use it.

Made for you

Every workspace has its Monfri connections from the start, marked (auto-provisioned): CRM, CDP, Push and Monfri Pages. You do not need to touch them; Monfri keeps them working.

A new workspace also has three example connections, each named … (example — reconnect to use) and Invalid. They go with the example flows; Remove sample data on the Hub dashboard removes them: Sample data.

Connect an app

  1. Connections → New Connection.
  2. Pick the app under Select a Connector.
  3. Give the connection a name you will recognise — Support bot, Shop database.
  4. Fill in what the app asks for — an API key, a token, a host and password. Where to get each one: Connectors.
  5. Create Connection.

A step can also make one on the spot: its Connection field offers the ones you have, and the AI builder shows a Connect card.

The states

State Means
Active Works.
Invalid The app refused the key the last time a flow used it — it was changed or revoked. Flows that use it fail until you fix it.
Expired A sign-in that lasts a limited time ran out; Refresh token renews it.

Edit or delete

Click a connection to see its Connection Details — Name, Status, Connector, Auth Type, Created, Updated. The keys themselves are never shown again: Values are encrypted and not displayed. Use Edit to replace. Edit → change the name or paste a new key → Save Changes.

Delete connection removes it for good. Flows that use it stop working at that step; pick another connection in them first.

Your plan counts connections: Usage and limits.

If something doesn't work

No connections found. Create one in Connections.

The step needs a connection for its app and there is none yet. Create it, then pick it in the step.

A connection keeps turning Invalid

The key is wrong, revoked or without the rights the action needs — for example a database user that may only read, used by an Insert Row step. Make a new key in the app with the right access and Edit the connection.

OAuth error: …

Signing in to the app was cancelled or refused. Try again, signed in to the right account in that app.
