What each recipe needs before it can send
The services, the data from your shop and your site, the sender and the discount codes the recipes depend on — and the recipes that need something extra or do not send yet.
A recipe sends only when what it listens to actually reaches Monfri. This page lists what that is.
Services
Every shop recipe needs CDP, Push and Automation active in the workspace; the daily log needs Pages and Automation. A missing one shows on the card as Connect … or Needs …: Open, activate and deactivate services.
Data from your shop and your site
| What | Where it comes from | Recipes that need it |
|---|---|---|
| Orders, customers, products, prices, stock | the store connection: Connect your online store | every order, loyalty and win-back recipe, the newsletters |
| Views, carts, checkouts, category pages, wishlists | the Monfri script on your site: Install the Monfri script | abandoned cart and checkout, product, category and browse abandonment, high intent, wishlist |
| An e-mail address on the person | a login, an order, a sign-up, an import | every e-mail recipe — someone without one gets a push, where the recipe has one, or nothing |
| Web push subscribers | the opt-in banner: Web push | the push reminders of the cart, checkout and product recipes |
Customer scores, repeat-order rhythm and the VIP level that some recipes use are worked out by CDP from the orders — they need several weeks of order history.
A sender and the e-mails
Each workspace gets a ready sender and the 126 recipe e-mails from the start, so nothing needs setting up: the e-mails go from your Monfri address until your own domain is verified: Send e-mail from your own domain.
Discount codes
Recipes with a discount put a code in the e-mail, named after the recipe and the percentage — with the default values FIRST10, FIRSTBUY10, COMEBACK10, VIPBACK20, REORDER10, VIP15, THANKS15, BDAY15, HELLO10 and FRIEND10; the cart and checkout reminders get CART… and CHECKOUT… only when you give them a discount. The code must exist in your shop:
- WooCommerce — Monfri creates it, if the store connection's key has Read/Write access;
- any other platform — create a percentage code with exactly that name in your shop yourself.
The recipe's page says which it is: Launch a recipe. Abandoned cart and checkout start with no discount (0 %).
Recipes with special needs
| Recipe | Needs |
|---|---|
| Order delay reassurance | WooCommerce, whose orders can be On hold (for example a bank transfer still unpaid). |
| Shipping confirmation, Review request, Cross-sell after delivery | Your shop marking the order shipped or completed — they start from that change. |
| Cross-sell after delivery | Also orders in which customers bought several products together. Where nothing was ever bought with the order's products, it sends nothing. |
| Birthday gift | A birthday on the person. The store connections do not bring it; a developer can send it with the Monfri script. Until then the recipe matches nobody. |
| Newsletter signup welcome | The sign-up form passing the person's e-mail address to the Monfri script. WooCommerce's automatic sign-up tracking sends the address hashed, which is not enough to e-mail them. |
| Weekly bestsellers, New arrivals, Flash sale, Sale ending | A Push e-mail list to send to; only its members with marketing consent get it. |
| Price drop digest, Back in stock digest, Low stock urgency | Not sending yet. The daily digests and the low-stock signal they listen to are not switched on in Monfri. You can launch them; they send nothing until they are. |
If something doesn't work
The recipe is live but nobody gets anything
Look at Recent activity on its page: the segment counts how many people match. Zero means the data above is not arriving. A count with no messages usually means the people have no e-mail address, gave no marketing consent while Marketing consent for recipe emails is on, or unsubscribed: When Automation does not work.
The discount code does not work
It is not in your shop. Create a percentage code with the exact name and percentage the recipe page shows.
