A deal is a sale you are working on: what you sell, to whom, for how much, and how far along it is. Deals move through the stages of a pipeline until they are won or lost.

Open Sales → Deals. The page has three tabs: Board, List and Won and lost: The deals board, Won and lost deals.

Create a deal

Click Add Deal, Create → Deal on the dashboard, Create Deal on a contact or company, or qualify a lead: Leads.

Field What it is
Deal Title Required. What is being sold — "Website redesign", "Annual licence".
Deal Value and Currency Required. The currency is one of the workspace's active currencies; new deals start in the workspace's currency.
Pipeline and Stage Required. Where the deal is now: Pipelines and stages.
Probability (%) How likely it is to be won. It follows the stage until you change it.
Expected Close Date When you expect to close.
Contact or Company Who the deal is with — at least one of the two.
Other people in this deal Colleagues and the customer's people, each with a role: Decision maker, Signs the invoice, Technical evaluator, Champion, Influencer or Other.
Owner Required. Who works the deal: Who sees which records.
Tags, Description / Notes Optional.

The list

List shows every deal you can see: the deal, the contact or company, the pipeline and stage, the value, the status, the expected close date, the owner and the next activity. Filter with All Statuses (Open, Won, Lost), All Pipelines and All Owners, and search with Search deals....

The deal's page

At the top: the title, the stage and the value, and the buttons for where the deal is:

The deal is Buttons
open Mark as Won, Mark as Lost, Edit
won Create invoice (or the invoice, once made), Create project (or the project), Reopen, Edit
lost Reopen, Edit

Share and Delete are there too. On a phone the rest are under ⋯: Won and lost deals.

Quick actions: Schedule activity, Create Task and Add Note.

The history has Activities — planned and done — and History — the deal's notes, files, tasks and e-mails in time order. The details — the people, the stage, the dates — are on the right.

Every open deal should have a next activity planned. A deal with nothing planned shows on your dashboard: The dashboard.

Edit or delete a deal

Edit changes any field. Moving a deal to another stage is quicker on the board. A manager deletes a deal with Delete; it goes to Settings → Trash.

If something doesn't work

Pick the contact or the company this deal is with.

A deal needs a contact, a company or both. Pick one, or add the person first.

Pick one of the active currencies.

The currency is not active in this workspace. Pick another, or ask a manager to add it in Settings → Invoicing settings → Currencies & rates.

Please assign the deal to an owner.

Pick the owner — usually you.

Please select a pipeline stage.

Pick the pipeline first, then the stage in it.
