The deals board: move deals through the stages
The board shows the open deals of one pipeline as cards in columns — the total and weighted value of each stage, drag a deal to the next stage, close it as won or lost, and the filters.
The board shows the open deals of one pipeline: one column per stage, one card per deal. It is the quickest way to see where everything stands and to move a deal forward.
Open Sales → Deals → Board.
Read the board
Each column shows the stage's name, how many deals are in it, their total value and Weighted — each deal's value times its probability, added up. The weighted total is what the stage is likely to bring.
Each card shows the deal's title, value, the contact or company, the owner, the expected close date and a flag for the next step:
- green — the next activity is planned;
- red — the next activity is overdue;
- amber — nothing is planned.
Click a card to open the deal.
Move a deal
Drag a card by its handle (the dots by the title) to another column. The deal moves to that stage and takes the stage's probability.
- Dropped on a won stage, the deal is marked won.
- Dropped on a lost stage, the board asks Mark deal as lost: pick a reason in Pick a reason…, add a note if you like, and click Mark as Lost. Cancel and the card goes back.
Only open deals are on the board, so the won and lost columns are where you drop a deal to close it — after the next reload it is gone from the board. Reopen it from its page: Won and lost deals.
A card has no handle and does not move when the deal is only shared with you, or when your role cannot move deals (CRM access Viewer): Who sees which records.
Switch pipelines and filter
- The pipeline menu at the top switches to another active pipeline. The board opens on the default one.
- Search deals... searches titles and descriptions.
- All Owners shows one person's deals.
Add Deal creates a deal: Deals.
If something doesn't work
Failed to move deal
The move was not saved and the card went back — for example a lost stage without a reason. Reload the board and try again.
A deal is missing from the board
The board shows only open deals of the chosen pipeline that you can see. Switch the pipeline, clear the filters, or look in List and Won and lost.
