Senders: who your e-mails come from
The sender every workspace starts with, adding a sender on your own domain, the confirmation e-mail, the default sender and the reply-to address.
A sender is the name and address your e-mails come from — From Name and From Email, and optionally a Reply-To address. Campaigns, recipes and system e-mails all send through one. They are in Push → Email → Senders.
The sender you start with
Every workspace gets a sender on a Monfri domain the moment it is created: hello@t…monfrimail.com, with your workspace's name as the From Name. It is ready at once — nothing to confirm — and replies go to your own e-mail address, because nobody reads the monfrimail.com mailbox.
It is fine for the first days. Mailbox providers trust your own domain more, so move to it as soon as you can: Send e-mail from your own domain.
Add a sender on your own domain
- Make sure the domain is verified in Email → Domains.
- In Email → Senders, click Add Sender.
- Choose the Sending Domain, then fill in From Name (for example your shop's name) and From Email — it must end with
@and your domain, for example[email protected]. - Optionally add Reply-To Email (optional) — where replies go, for example
[email protected]. - Tick Set as default sender — once its address is confirmed if recipes and other automatic e-mails should use it, and click Create Sender. Until you confirm it, they keep going from the current default.
Monfri sends a confirmation e-mail to the From Email address. Click the link in it: the page says Sender verified, and the sender's status turns from Awaiting email confirmation to Confirmed. Until then, nothing can be sent from it. Lost the e-mail? Click Resend next to the sender.
The default sender
Default marks the sender that recipes, flows and other automatic e-mails use when they do not name one. There is exactly one, and it is always a confirmed sender; a campaign uses the sender you choose in it. To change the default, click Edit next to another confirmed sender, tick Make this the default sender and click Save. A sender that is not confirmed yet shows Default once confirmed and takes over when you click the link in its confirmation e-mail.
The default itself cannot be unticked or deleted — make another confirmed sender the default first.
When your own domain is verified, the Monfri sender stays the default until you change it — remember this step.
Edit or delete
Edit changes the From name and the Reply-To email (optional). The address itself cannot change: add a new sender instead and delete the old one with Delete. A campaign that already went out keeps its sender.
If something doesn't work
No verified sending domains available.
A sender on your own domain needs a verified domain first. Click Add Domain First, or keep using the Monfri sender.
The confirmation e-mail does not arrive
Check the spam folder of that mailbox, then click Resend. The address must be a real mailbox that someone can open — an address that does not exist cannot confirm.
Sender email address has not been confirmed. Click the link in the confirmation email.
A campaign tried to send from a sender that is still Awaiting email confirmation. Confirm it, or choose another sender in the campaign.
Replies go to the wrong address
Set Reply-To Email (optional) on the sender. Without it, replies go to the From Email.
